Posted on May 10, 2014

Roots and Wings is hosting what is sure to be an amazing event called “An Evening at Blairsden”, A Mansions in May Private Tour and Reception on May 22nd from 4-8:30pm. This event is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see Blairsden, a magnificent estate built around 1900 by the NYC financier, C. Ledyard Blair as his country home. It is known as one of the finest examples of Beaux-arts architecture in the country and one of the largest mansions in New Jersey. Carrere and Hastings, the architecture firm that built the NYC public library and the Frick mansion, were commissioned to build Blairsden. The property is breathtaking and the gardens overlook the hills of Somerset. The event begins with a private tour of 53 spaces elegantly decorated by top designers from NY and NJ - when you complete your tour, there will be a cocktail reception in the gardens at Blairsden. Spaces are limited, so please secure your ticket now by going to: https://rootsandwings.ejoinme.org/Blairsden
