Asia D. Smith & Purple R.E.I.G.N. Join Utah’s 24th Annual Domestic Violence Conference - 10/21/15
Asia D. Smith, Founder and CEO of Purple R.E.I.G.N. Social Services, will be a keynote speaker at the 24th Annual Domestic Violence Conference. This year’s theme for the conference is “Many Voices: One Commitment,” and celebrates the many voices committed to creating safer communities for us all. The Conference provides a space for participants to share best and emerging practices, learn from the experience and expertise of others, and connect with fellow advocates and allies.
Asia will be giving a presentation called “STS: Survivors That Serve… Our Greatest Collaboration.” The theme of Asia’s presentation focuses on how after the safety planning, assistance in obtaining protective orders, coordination of emergency services, court accompaniment, and referrals, does the work of empowering victims to become Survivors That Serve begins.
